Brand New
Brand New was taken about a month before I was graduating college. Genesis, opportunity, openness. A shift of focus both mentally and literally with the camera.
Birthday
Birthday, I intended to be fairly straight forward. While there are unique aspects of this photo that I feel tell stories personal to me, I would rather this photo be interpreted using each viewers independent perspective. At the time of the execution of this photo I was feeling very fresh, energetic, beautiful, and queer.

The key to love is understanding.
If I assume, then I apologize. Everyday I work to live with positivity in my perception, and understanding as my intention.
Since graduating and moving towards independence I have been open and accepting of a lot. I feel I have overwhelmed myself. I have absorbed a lot and I have flown around a lot. I think this now is a decisively transformative time for me. I'm working towards intentionally isolating, spending more time with myself, and protecting and strengthening my energy. Manifesting outstanding spiritual growth and understanding.

About Get To Know Us.
Get to know us, a photographic self-portrait series created by Pat Grady , is a collaborative exploration of growth dedicated to supporting artists.
The images in this project are meant to reflect Pat and his growth as an artist and an individual. The project is also meant to serve as a way for Pat to connect with artists and give them an opportunity to be paid to create and promote themselves.
The first image speaks to Pat's feelings of genesis within his artistic career and future in general. Each image moving forward will include ideas of Pat's understanding of his journey and growth expressed as commissioned art pieces created by artists of Pat's choosing, suggestions are welcome. Artists will be compensated with the funds raised from this GoFundMe and Pat's personal financials. The Images will grow in complexity with time. Commissioned pieces will also be included in every image proceeding the initial image it is featured in.
What are Pat's intentions with this project?
With building connections being a key focus of this project, Pat aims to create a space where people can get to know artists and why they do what they do. We consume so much art on a daily basis, from music and movies to literature and design. But how often do we find ourselves connecting with those artists that brighten our day and inspire us to reflect on our emotions? How well do we know our favorite musician, director, or writer?
Pat believes that building deeper connections between the artist and the consumer can help strengthen the arts economy, allow people to understand why artists create and why directly supporting them is so important.
